What Does Mura Mean?

‘Mura’ is short for Murayama, which is Mishka’s last name on his Japanese side. The butterfly logo is actually the family ‘mon’ or crest, dating back to the samurai era.

The striking butterfly design was greatly admired by warlords and their samurai, dating back to the Nara period (710 AD – 786 AD). As an insignia or symbol showcased on their armor, it was chosen for its perceived grace and balanced design, which is attained through the transformation from a humble caterpillar to a noble butterfly.
